October is Breast Cancer Awareness month!!
Numerous organizations have been promoting breast cancer awareness by hosting events around campus for this reason.
The talk on campus is that the University Co-op had paired up with Susan G Komen to sell "I Heart A Cure" shirts for $9.99, with 50% of the proceeds feeding right back into the UT Women's Wellness Center, and are having a big event at the Co-Op on October 29 to promote the sale of these shirts.

Pink shorts!
I have seen the occasional guy on campus wear pink shorts but that are more on the dark more solid pink perhaps salmon color but on Wednesday I was impressed. A gentleman walking by the tower was wearing highlighter more fluorescent pink shorts. I really hadn't noticed until I saw some girls walking behind him pointing at his shorts! Their faces seemed to be shocked at what was he wearing!
To the brave gentleman wearing the bright shorts congrats to you not following the norm of the darker more salmon pink!
It is on campus since we are surrounded by so many people that we are able to see a myriad of styles of dress as well as hear many conversations!
Besides the shorts here are some things that were said on campus Wednesday:
1. "the man is like 32 who is my professor and he is acting like a child pleeeassseee!!"
2. "Do you think that we will win this weekend? Who knew I'd be worried about the players in whhhaaaccckkoooo!!!!"
3. "Is it bad that I stalk my professor on Facebook?"
4. "But you don't understand that bi*** was off her rocker when she graded my test it is obvious that she didn't grade it right!"
5. "Senioritis yeah I have been practicing that for the last 2 semesters!!"
Some crazy quotes today but to all those who are questioning our team have FAITH!! We will get back into the swing of things! Plus who knows what will happen with the apparent number one ranking curse!

Gaga for Registration
Today being a student who is hardly on campus MWFs the talk of the 40 Acres was about registration!
Although many of my friends are graduating in December I know that registering earlier today for my last semester was bittersweet and many agree.
Here is a short list about what was said about registration today while on campus!
1. "Hey ass I'm just a junior so I didn't register today unlike YOU!"
2. "What the hell am I supposed do now that I just registered for MY LAST FREAKING SEMESTER"
3. "WTF MAN you registered?!" the other person "Yes being a 5th year senior has its perks!"
4. "Registration being a senior has never been easier!"
5. "Are you using that computer?! Cause I gotta registerrrr!"
So as I went to my classes today...registration was the topic of today!!

Loko 4 Four Lokos?
Four Lokos seem to be the talk of the town this week being featured in both the Daily Texan and UWeekly. What is it about Four Loko that has got everyone so disturbed? College students have been blacking out for sometime now, and just because of the up and coming new beverage they are thinking that it should be taken off the market? Getting drunk is nothing new folks. Come on now....
